EcoPlan supported the update of KHFN’s award- winning CCP, Hith Alis Lax Gwa-yas-dums: Moving from Crisis to Hope. The CCP acted as a guide for many projects in KHFN, and the update sought to keep the CCP relevant and keep the community moving forward by revisiting the objectives and priorities it set out. Through the update process, KHFN members and leadership looked back on what has been done, what else the community set out to do, and what other projects should be considered. In addition to interviews with Chief and Council, surveys were used to gather community members’ perspectives on priority areas and actions for KHFN. The CCP Update contains a community profile and updated action plan, and serves as a supplement to existing strategies and documents, setting the stage for implementation of new initiatives and support of ongoing projects.
