EcoPlan developed a Local Economic Development for Yukon Elected Officials for Yukon Economic Development to increase the understanding and awareness of local economic development planning methods and processes. The action-oriented session takes participants through a series of structured activities so that be the end of the workshop there is a basic framework for action the community can move forward on. The project included a ‘train-the-trainer’ component for Yukon Economic Development staff and the production of comprehensive facilitator’s workshop guide and other supporting material. The flexible program was also designed to work for Yukon First Nation communities.
