Youth Stewardship: Canada – Ecuador Program

Date: 2001

Working with Environmental Youth Alliance, EcoPlan implemented a program for Canadian youth in Ecuador that achieved the following four objectives:

Objective  #1 –  Youth International Interns will gain experience by working with sustainable micro-enterprise development
Objective #2 – Youth Interns with gain skills enhancement in alternative energy and appropriate technology.
Objective #3 – Youth interns will participate in the ongoing development of a model demonstration farm based on the principles of sustainability and the environment.
Objective #4 –  Youth interns will gain experience and skills enhancement in the eco-tourism industry through the development and support of eco-tourism strategic planning, infrastructure development and related activities.
