Lauren is a research intern at EcoPlan, and has previously worked as a GIS specialist in the municipal, environmental, and non-profit sectors. She has a background in spatial data management with a special interest in conservation and land use planning. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Victoria double majoring in Geography (Geomatics) and Environmental Studies, and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Resource and Environmental Management from Simon Fraser University. Her research is centred around assessing the effectiveness of urban green space network connectivity and design for supporting biodiversity and mitigating heat island effects.
